What Hollywood Branded Inc. Did:
Our Hollywood Branded division secured a demonstration for eMatrix on The Doctors on April 4, 2009. Opening the show, Dr. Travis Stork, host of The Doctors, announces “We’ve got something special going on in the procedure room today”. Dr. Andrew Orden, Plastic Surgeon, agrees and introduces Dr. Tess Mauricio and Syneron’s new eMatrix, which she uses within her practice in San Diego. Dr. Orden explains the reasons why eMatrix is different than other laser skin rejuvenation and resurfacing procedures while Dr. Mauricio is seen in the private procedural room on the on-stage big screen monitor demonstrating the use of eMatrix on Rigina, a patient, who has been suffering from acne scars since her pre-teen years. Dr. Ordon explains that eMatrix utilizes Radio Frequency (RF) technology as opposed to light (laser) energy, which could damage pigmentation, especially in darker skinned patients like Rigina. Dr. Travis tells the audience that they will revisit eMartix in the second half of the show.
In a later segment, Dr. Travis reintroduces Dr. Mauricio and eMatrix by bringing Rigina onto the stage. Putting the spotlight on Rigina and the immediate clear appearance of her skin after a treatment with eMatrix, the doctors discuss the benefits of RF technology. Dr. Mauricio takes the lead in explaining the power and unique characteristics of eMatrix. Using Rigina as the prime example, Dr. Mauricio explains that unlike laser treatments, which might have a lengthy recovery time, unwanted pain, and trauma and damage to the skin’s pigmentation, eMatrix has a recovery time of just 24 hours with very little, if any, unwanted side effects. “This is big!” says Dr. Orden, pointing out that this will give hope to darker skinned patients (non-Caucasians) who have had very little options for skin care. Dr. Mauricio then goes on to discuss and show before and after photos of patients who have seen fantastic improvement in their skin’s texture and appearance after treatment with eMatrix.
The integrated segments exposed eMatrix to an audience of over 3.5 million, and appeared on-screen for over four minutes. This resulted in an estimated media value of $500,000.
